14 months!!!

This week was so awesome!! Seriously so many miracles and probably the busiest week I have had my whole mission!! We had appointments like every day and always had something to do!! It was so awesome!

Tirsdag: 14 MONTHSS
I hit my 14 month mark today. Looking back one year ago, I was a greenie and never thought this day would come.... and now that my time keeps getting closer and closer to going home, I'm not sure how much I like it.... I wish time could slow down!
We visited Krystle, my Texas pal!!! I love her! She is so cute and makes me feel like I am at home when we go to her house. Her little boys are the cutest too! She gave us butterscotch chocolate chip cookies and I wanted to cry! I felt like I was at home in America

Sister Jørgensen is the best member missionary I know and the cutest gammel damme! She invited one of her friend’s two daughters to come take a tour of the church and talk to us to get more information about the church and what we believe. The girls were so cute, they are 24 and 26 and they have the potential to becoming interested in having us teach them! So that is way exciting! Their mom really wants them to go to church and has asked Sister Jørgensen to help be their åndelig bestamor (spiritual Grandma) which is way awesome, especially since the mom isn't even a member!

Onsdag:
A member Ole did språk study with us and that was a big help! It is always nice when a Norwegian studies with us and we have someone to ask our questions to and to help correct us!

We visited Elin and Kenneth this week and they made this way yummy Chinese stir-fry.... made me miss Panda Express and Pei Wei haha. Elin is so cute and Kenneth even stayed in the room to listen to our spiritual message so that was way awesome!! We talked about faith and read Alma chapter 32 with them. One of my favs!

We met with a former who we called when we were going through the area book named Peter. He asked if he could bring a friend with him so that was another one of the many miracles this week! They are both from France and had some very good questions. We are meeting with Peter again today!
Meet with Mido and had a member Stian Årsnes on the teach with us. Stian and Mido talked a lot at the Halloween party so we thought it would be a good idea to bring Stian so that Mido can start having friends at church besides the missionaries. IT WENT AWESOME!! Stian was so great and dang having a member on the teach makes the biggest difference!! *****People go on teaches with the missionaries!!!!****
(Stian is great at understanding Mido too; sometimes I swear he is speaking Spanish when he is talking!)

Torsdag:
We had institute and the lesson was amazing!! It was all about Christ and his atonement for us and man the spirit was so strong!! We read many scriptures throughout the Bible and Book of Mormon. I am so grateful for his sacrifice that he made for me personally.

We visited Bestamor and Bestafar! Bestafar gave the nicest and best prayer I have ever heard before we left. It was such a cool experience! Bestamor was cute as always! She loves to talk and talk and sometimes I feel bad saying we have to go because I know she doesn't get many visitors and doesn't get to talk to people a lot.

Fredag:
Went to the nursing home! Sister Allen and I were kinda bummed because none of them wanted to go on a walk and we really wanted to go on a walk and push them in their wheelchairs! Instead we talked a lot and just walked around saying hi to all of the people. Elder Rasband played the piano for them and that was way cool!! So Elder Rasband and Elder Miller are the two greenies in my district right now and they were on greenie splits because both of their companions are the zone leaders and they were out of town for a couple days visiting other areas. So Sister Allen and I went downstairs at the nursing home and the Elders went upstairs. We went up to check on them and Elder Miller walked over to us and goes *I have no idea what they are saying to me and Elder Rasband got lucky and is playing the piano the whole time so he doesn't have to talk to them because he doesn't know what they are saying either!!* Then Elder Miller told us *This one lady kept trying to talk to me, so I acted like I was asleep so she would stop talking to me, I had no idea what she was saying!* hahahaha Sister Allen and I died laughing! Elder Miller is a hoot!
We visited Målfrid a member who is in a nursing home as well and every time we visit, she gives us ice cream...... She is very cute and very with it for how old she is! Her husband will usually just sit in the room and listen while we talk. He tried to take out his hearing aids and she got mad at him haha and she was telling us a story and he told her to stop talking! Hahaha. Sister Allen had to try really hard not to laugh.

MIRACLE!! Okay so remember how Sister Allen stopped that big group of men? Well we got an appointment with one of them!! We took Betty who is a recent convert herself with us and it went so good! He had a lot of questions and is way interested. He doesn't have a church he is going to at the moment, so he is trying to find one. He is from Ghana and said he remembers seeing the missionaries around. He said *How can you not see them! They are dressed in suits!*

While we were talking he said he had researched about our religion before we came, so he could have some knowledge. The questions he asked us that he saw on the internet were ridiculous!!! He read anti (which is untrue things about us on the internet). I am very glad we could clear that up for him!! He told us he thought we worshipped Joseph Smith too.... glad we could clear that up for him as well! NO we do not worship Joseph Smith. Anyways, the teach went awesome!!

While we were walking back to the bus Sister Allen looks at me and goes *I don't know how you answered some of his questions!!!* She said, *I had no idea what to say and you always had an answer and what you said was so good!!* I looked at her and I go *I don't even remember what I said..... and I don't even know how I knew those answers!* She goes *You literally were speaking by the power and gift of the Holy Ghost. I could feel it as you were talking!* At that moment I realized how true that was!! The Holy Ghost was literally filling my mouth with what to say and I wasn't even thinking about what I was saying, I was just saying it!

I remember always wishing that something like this could happen to me and I wouldn't have even realized that this had happened if Sister Allen hadn't said anything to me. It then made me think of how many times this has happened before and I hadn't even realized it! I guess I was expecting some big thing to help me realize that I was being guided by the spirit, but it was just an awesome reminder that the spirit works in quiet ways and how easy it is to have those special experiences overlooked!

Being a missionary and being able to have the Lord work through me is one of the best and awesome things in the world! I am so thankful I have the opportunity to be an instrument in the Lord's hands(:

D&C section 121 verse 11: Seek not to declare my word, but first seek to obtain my word, and then shall your tongue be loosed. Then, if you desire, you shall have my spirit and my word, yea the power of God unto the convincing of men.
Lørdag:
So we finally met with Nina again and she is a gem!! I really feel like she could get baptized here pretty soon! She is way busy and works three jobs and lives about 2 hours away, so we skype to meet with her, but she is reading throughout the week and makes time to meet with us! She was the one that referred herself to the church! How awesome is that! I really hope we can meet with her more.

We went to Hell and visited Lars and Evalina and their adorable baby boy Jackson. Seriously I cannot wait to hold babies when I get home!

We had stake conference this weekend and it was the best thing ever to hear the leaders speaking in bokmål!!! It is music to my ears and I understood basically everything they were saying!! So this one lady got up and you could tell she was a little nervous.... She started speaking and her Norwegian was way good, but you could tell she wasn't a Norwegian (she was American). She was the cutest thing and would like say side comments in English and at the end everyone cracked up laughing because she said *.... og Jeg er veldig takknemlig at denne talen er ferdig, I Jesu Kristi navn, Amen* and she sat down! It was so funny! What she said in English was -  I am very grateful that my talk is over in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Søndag:
Stake conference..... the talks were very good!! It really makes me happy that I can understand basically all that they were saying! Everyone needs to speak bokmål.....

Met with Rafid and had Ole on the teach! I was so grateful Ole was there! Rafid asked some really interesting questions and Ole was able to answer them perfectly which made me really grateful because I'm not sure what I would have said!

Met with Jecon and his girlfriend was over!! So we got to share a message with both of them. That was way cool and unexpected. We talked about the Godhead and how God, Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three different human beings, but one in unity and purpose. God and Christ have a body of flesh and bone and the Holy Ghost is a spirit so that he can always be with us.

TODAY WAS NORWEGIAN FATHERS DAY!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD!!
                                                           YOU ARE THE BEST!!
** our mmk and bishop are way awesome!! They are involved and care about us and how we are doing and how the missionary work is going!! I am really grateful for that!

** Norsk was awesome this week! Somedays you just feel like you really got the hang of Norwegian and this was one of those weeks!! I really felt like my Norwegian was pretty good this week and that the words just flowed out of my mouth! That is a good feeling(: I love this language!!
Jordan's Tidbits:
- we got a lot of member teaches this week, probably the most I have had my whole mission and man do members make a difference!!!!

- Elder Corrigan hates when girls in general wear their hair in a ponytail... The other day Sister Allen and I were both just having a bad hair day so we both had our hair up in a ponytail and it drove Elder Corrigan nuts!! So Sunday at church we both had our hair down and he goes *Sisters!! Your hair looks so nice today!!!*

- The Elders must be crazy... they all keep asking me to cut their hair!! I'm not sure they realize that I really have no idea what I am doing and I just go for it hahaha. However I must be doing a good job if they keep asking me!

-Can I just say, I have found the most comfortable slippers!!
Åndelig Tanker:
- If you haven't seen the movie 17 Miracles I would highly recommend seeing it!!! Especially those of you who are going on Trek in March!! It will change your life!!!

- Luke 12:40 *Be ye therefore ready also: for the son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not!* It is so important that we are always prepared! Do not procrastinate doing the right thing, or changing your life, or repenting, etc... Putting things off only makes them worse!!!

- Luke 15:7 *... (the) joy (that) shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, (will be) more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.* Heavenly Father loves us all the same, even though his joy is greater for those that repent, those who are doing the right things will continue to receive blessings and happiness

***NOT EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET IS TRUE!!! If you have questions, ask a person who belongs to the church, ask a missionary or go to these websites!!!
www.mormon.org

This is to all the members of the church, young, teenagers, old, everyone!!!! THE MISSIONARIES NEED YOUR HELP!!!! We cannot do this alone!!! PLEASE HELP THEM!!! Also if you see someone at church and you don't recognize them, go and say hi!!! Talk to them!! You can make all the difference for that person and their experience at church. Don't assume someone else will do it
ha en fin uke dere!!!
