GOD MAD ER DET BESTE MAT

A mission is a roller-coaster folks.... you will have great weeks and then not so great weeks, but it keeps you on your toes, that is for sure!!

Mandag:
100 days left....

Visited a new convert family, from Nepal (Hem and Shanti) At the end of the lesson the little boy was going to say the prayer and he came and sat by me. We bowed our head and got ready to pray and it was way quiet. I opened my eyes and the mom asked me to help him say the prayer!! It was the cutest thing ever!! I am so grateful that I was able to do that!!! It was a little weird telling a little boy a prayer to say in Norwegian, but AWESOME!

So contacting on a Monday night isn't the best...However I have come to learn that when you do the things you don't want to do, the Lord blesses you! Sister Allen and I were honestly not looking forward to contacting, however the Lord always comes through and it was a blast and we talked to so many nice people!!!

Tirsdag:
Hit the double digits countdown of days....

So I was going through my phone texting people to see if they were interested to meet and one girl named Sunniva texted back and was so cute! So Sister Allen and I go and she has her roommate there who is so cute and their apartment is so koselig. We get to talking and come to find out they are JW's...... They were super nice and interested in what we believe and why. The gift of tongues is real. I have no idea how I answered some of their questions, but words came out!

Onsdag:
The STL's Sister Boud and Sister Wood came!! Those two are awesome!! It was so much fun!!! We contacted, sang at the nursing home, visited Elin and Kenneth, then we split up and Sister Boud and I went to help a member who is moving with other members in the ward pack up their moving van.... Dang that was a giant van and a lot of stuff! I am so grateful that people came out to help! It was way fun to be able to serve and work with members of the ward

**Funny thing about singing at the nursing home... they totally announced us and said we were from Amerika and would be singing... without telling us.... so the first time we went we went by memory and that was hilarious! It was just me, Allen, Miller, and Rasband and we sang in English and didn't know all the words.... it was awful.... So this time we came prepared and brought Christmas music to sing in Norwegian and it was way better!! Until we tried to sing this one song and in the middle of it we all started laughing cause we couldn't hit the notes so we stopped and sang a different song...

Torsdag:
Visited Bestamor and Bestafar! We took Bestamor to visit her husband and oh my gosh it was the cutest thing ever!! Sister Allen and I teared up!! Seriously I hope my spouse and I are like that! They are so cute and so happy and so in love! When we rolled her in he got the biggest smile on his face and she just sweetly rubbed his cheek

Veronica a girl we met with once before came to Institute!! She is so cute and wants to come back when she can get off work!!

Fredag:
We had our own little missionary Thanksgiving feast. Sister Allen and I made sweet potatoes and dang they were good!!! However huge props to my mom and grandma's for making the Thanksgiving food! I don't know how you do it! It took us like 2 almost 3 hours to make this and that was only one food item!!

Practied for the talent show and Sister Allen and I had a great time practicing our dancing skills hahaha

Contacted in the pouring rain and Sister Allen and I looked like wet dogs... however we met the cutest Romanian lady who said we can give her a Book of Mormon sometime this week!! Her name is Alexandria!

Lørdag:
We had a Ward Thanksgiving party and Talent Show!! It was so awesome and so many people came!! The food was so great and the Talent Show was funny! The missionaries did something and we made up our own missionary parody to let it snow and jingle bells and the Elders sang while Sister Allen and I danced

The city lit all the Christmas lights in the town!! It was cute and they had Cinderella do it and did like a little play as they did it!

Søndag:
In town, they lit the HUGE Christmas tree!! So many people were there and it was so cute!! They sang songs and someone was doing sign language!! Then we all held hands around the church and sang and danced!! Sister Allen and I saw the Rappleyes, so we joined them (: I felt like I was in the Grinch!!
Contacting on a Sunday night is not the best thing in the world.... the streets were completely deserted! After having little success we were heading back home and we stopped this cute girl named Carolina AND she was interested!!! We got her number and are hoping to meet with her soon!! God is good!

(I don't know if you remember me talking about a guy in Tromsø named Chilonda? But I was told he went to church!! After like 3 years!! YAYY!!!)

We have recently lost basically all of our investigators... so that is a total bummer, but I know that God gives us challenges to strengthen us and after the trial of our faith comes the blessings!

Jordan's Tidbits:
-Funny story of the week...... So in studies one day this week I got pretty emotional and started crying because it hit me that I don't have that much longer to be a missionary. To me if feels like I have all the time in the world, but the clock says otherwise.... Anyways during studies I didn't want Sister Allen to know I was crying so I was trying to be really quiet haha. Then in companionship study I go *Dang... I got real sappy in studies today.... Sister Allen goes *OH MY GOSH YOU WERE CRYING!?!? and I said yes..... She goes *I could hear you sniffling, but I just thought you had a runny nose so I kept thinking to myself gosh just go blow your nose already!!* hahahahah good times good times.......

- Norwegians know how to get into the Christmas spirit that is for sure!! However the way they wrap their lights around the trees is very different from how we do it in America. They do it vertical and just string them down, they don't wrap it around the tree.

-Julebrus is a yummy drink!
Åndelig Tanker:
- "When adversity comes, don't let something you don't fully understand unravel everything you do know." - Elder Kevin Pearson

I really liked that thought, since we all let fear and doubt creep in during our weak moments.  Be strong, and rely on the strength of what you know to pull you through those times of uncertainty. With everything going on in the world today we need to remember that even though the laws of the land change and the world's standards and views on things, GOD'S LAWS AND STANDARDS WILL NEVER CHANGE! God does not change His standards and law's to fit the worlds. With everything going on in the world today, it is so sad to see how many members of the church are leaving because of changes in church policy and due to the church not changing its standards to fit the worlds. This is Jesus Christ's church, not the church of man. The church is changing and reinforcing policies to make sure that God's way stays the same.

Mormon chapter 9 verse 9,10, and 19.
9 For do we not read that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing? 10 And now, if ye have imagined up unto yourselves a god who doth vary, and in whom there is shadow of changing, then have ye imagined up unto yourselves a god who is not a God of miracles. 19 And if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable Being? And behold, I say unto you he changeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God, and is a God of miracles.

*I made the decision long ago to believe that the prophet and his counselors, and the apostles, are indeed *special witnesses for Christ.* Heavenly Father and His son know the *big picture* and we just have to have the faith to follow. Oh, we can sort things out in our minds, and ask questions- but bottom line - we stick with faith! For those of us who have the confirmation that this is the Church of Jesus Christ, any matter such as a *new* church policy should be clear. If you sustain Thomas S Monson as the prophet of God, then changes shouldn't be a problem. That is the reason we have a prophet. He is God's mouthpiece and he is there to guide us in today's constantly changing world. If you have a hard time with changes, stick to faith and remember it is coming from God. Don't let Satan get the best of you and have you dig up in doubt what you planted in faith!

LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!
Well I jinxed myself..... The first snow came on Saturday!! Man is Norwegian snow the best though! It is so fluffy! It is very beautiful here with snow! I feel like I am in a snow globe or winter wonderland!

Mandag:
Jecon and his girlfriend came to FHE!!!! Church and FHE man Jecon is on a roll!

Tirsdag:
We visited my Texas friend in the ward Krystle. She isn’t leaving for Texas till January...(so jealous!!) So we went over to visit before she left! Every time I go over there it makes me so excited to have a cute little family! Her boys crack me up! I could watch them for days!

We had an appointment with this guy we met on the street named Øyvind. People like to kebab us a lot, so we didn't have super high hopes, BUT HE CAME!! AND HE WAS NORMAL AND WAY COOL!!!! He took us to a cafe and bought us hot chocolate because we don't drink coffee and we had a hyggelig prat and he was way cool and nice. He has a strong belief in God and was interested to hear what we believed. Not sure when or if we will meet again, but hey planting seeds ya know!

By the way, did I mention it is getting COLD!
Onsdag:
ZONE CONFERENCE!!! Everyone flew down to Trondheim for Zone Conference! I love seeing President and Sister Hill and of course the other missionaries in my zone. It was bittersweet though because I said goodbye to some of my friends that are leaving and said goodbye to some I won't see again before I go home..... Zone Conference was really great though (: Like always I learned a lot!!! I will put some things I learned down in my Åndelig Tanker
                                                                   The Nord Zone!
 The Søster's in our Sweaters!
 Love these girls!
 Brother and Sister Rappleye
 Elder Gingrich (my bud!)
Relief Society had an activity that was way fun! However the bracelet I made already broke.... reason why I am not a fan of arts and crafts haha. It takes me forever and then it breaks....

Torsdag:
We visited Majken and cute Olivia!!

We visited a member with the Rappleyes. His name is Ingebrigt! He gave us so much chocolate!! He is way nice and made an appointment for us to come back. He really loves the Plan of Salvation.

Had institute! Talked about Christ's other sheep that he mentions in the Bible, which is the people in the American Continents that is in the Book of Mormon! So cool to see how these two things support each other.

Fredag:
Went to Elin and Kenneths and had a great talk about the Plan of Salvation. Sister Allen and I drew a picture they could keep. Kenneth stayed and talked again!

We got the best hamburgers ever for dinner from this place called Sesam. It is like a little hole in the wall place, but so good!!
Lørdag:
THE FIRST SNOW CAME!

Bishop had all of the missionaries over for breakfast! It was so nice of him!! It was a way koselig time (: We had the classic Norwegian breakfast; boller, jam, cheese, and meats!

Visited Lars and Evalina (who live in Hell) and HELL HAS FROZEN OVER!!!! hahaha thought that was a funny joke. It is so pretty there with all the snow!

Visted Bestamor and Bestafar and Bestamor gave sister Allen and I knitting needles and yarn!! I am way excited to learn!! That is a way popular thing to do here! She also shared with us some of her yummy blødkakke from her birthday! She is just the cutest thing! When we walk in her door she opens her arms for us to give her a hug and she makes me so happy!!
Søndag:
Went to visit Jecon with Elder Corrigan and Miller. We shared Mosiah 4:9 which says:
“Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend.”

I LOVE THIS SCRIPTURE!!!! It gives me great comfort to know that God created the earth for us and we are created from God's image. It also gives me comfort and assurance to know that it is okay if I don't know the answers to everything and there are some things that I will never have the answers to in this life, but God does!

It went way good and we ate vaffler!! We also played in the snow while waiting for the bus.

BOLD DAY FRIDAY:
So on the way home from the nursing home, I saw two deaf guys signing to each other... after arguing with myself in my head, I sat down next to them and started to sign with them!! We had to get off the bus at the next stop, but I got to talk to them and that was way cool!! I really need to brush up on my signing skills though haha I am a little rusty...

Than we were on our way home from Elin and Kenneth's and a man and his two daughters were sitting in front of us. They were probably 4 and 5. All of a sudden out of the blue they start asking their dad about Jesus!!! Sister Allen and I were dying! That is NOT a normal thing! I kept thinking to myself what are the odds that this happens when we are on the bus with them and right by them! After much contemplation and me trying to ignore the prompting of the Holy Ghost telling me to talk to him, I decided that I was not getting off that bus until we talked to him. Our bus stop came and Sister Allen began to stand up and I pulled her back down and said we aren't getting off until he does. We need to talk to him. After saying at least 100 prayers in my head for Heavenly Father to help me and for us to be able to talk to him, the man finally pressed the button to get off the bus. My heart was pounding out of my chest and I thought I was going to wet my pants I was so nervous and had so much adrenaline going through me. We got off then I walked up to him and told him that I had overheard his conversation and that we were missionaries, etc... He doesn't have a belief in God and wasn’t interested, but he was very nice and took a card!

Bus contacting has been my enemy on my mission..... Here in Norway the buses are so quiet you could hear a needle drop! People don't talk at all and you don't sit by anyone, you sit by yourself or stand..... Sister Allen and I were about to get off and this guy sat by us. As we were getting up I handed him a card and he took it haha. Super sly I think!

I know these things don't sound like that much of a deal, but to me they were!! It is the little things that mean the most!
***Our mission started doing a weekly scripture and has challenged us to use it during the week. It is so crazy to see how often we are able to use them and how we can use it in basically every teach we have no matter what it is on.

Ones we have had so far are:
- 1 Nephi 17:36
- Mosiah 4: 9
- James 1:5

Jordan's Tidbits:
-Whoever said stick and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me....  LIED!!! They must have never had someone say something mean to them!! So we were texting some potentials in our phones to see if they would meet with us and a guy texted back, "go to hell" and it may or may not have made me cry. Which is so dumb and I have no idea why because people are rude and say rude things to us all the time... It must have been a long day.... and so then I texted back and said *I am going there tomorrow actually :)  Do you live there?*  It was a good one. You probably had to be there. (if you remember there is a city named Hell and we actually were going there the next day)

-Ivar og Målfrid. These two.. they kill me. Members of the ward we visit. We went out to lunch with them and someone said hi to Ivar and he says to us, "They know me." hahaha

Åndelig Tanker:
- President Hill: *Do yourself a favor and leave it behind!*

- When we set goals in faith and work hard, God will come through!

- Sometimes we are ignorant to God's vision, but when we humble ourselves, we can see ourselves through God's eyes and be able to improve and be better!

- The gospel is simple and man makes it confusing... God is not a God of confusion, but of simplicity. That is why I am so grateful for a living prophet today. To lead and guide us and help us know what is God's will and the right thing to do. Even though laws of the land change, God's laws do not!

***Love this quote from a friend!!!
Courage, not compromise, brings the smile of God's approval." (April 2015 Conference)
The truth is the truth and there is no reason to compromise.

Courage becomes a living and an attractive virtue when it is regarded not only as a willingness to die manfully but also as the determination to live decently.

It's easier to die for the gospel than it is to live it throughout our lives.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DERE!!!! I am so thankful for the love and support you all have shown me throughout my mission! I couldn't have done it without you!!! Eat some yummy food for me!!!! (Norway doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving, but we will be doing a missionary Thanksgiving and a ward one so that will be fun!)

glad i dere!!!

VELKOMMEN VINTER

So I spoke too soon about it not being too cold..... Jack Frost definitely came to town this week.... No snow yet, but it sure is getting cold!! I have high hopes that this winter will not be so bad because it is mid-November and no snow yet! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I felt like we had a busy week this week, but I don't have too much to say

Mandag:
Our awesome Mission President and his wife called Sister Allen and I to tell us they are proud of us and to keep up the great work!! Seriously I love them!!! It doesn't get much better than that folks!! It meant so much to us that they took the time to do that!!! The little things mean so much more to me now.

We met with Peter and Paul the two French guys! Man do I literally feel spiritually drained after we meet with them! They suck all of my spiritualness out of me! Peter asks great questions and really loves to talk haha

Tirsdag:
Today was literally the worst day ever...... People were just so rude and mean!! We were out for 2 hours and not one person talked to us and we were stopping everyone that we could! Their responses to us weren't the nicest either.... Sister Allen and I decided to take a break and get boller! (That’s when you know it is bad haha)

Sister Allen: “No one cares about the Book of Mormon gosh dang it!!!”
Seriously people don't say no right away!! Give it a try!!

Onsdag:
Today was just like Tirsdag..... Not as bad that we got boller, but the people weren't that nice today either. It must be the cold weather that hit that made everyone in a bad mood....

The good thing about today though was we got to go to the nursing home!!! There is this one lady who likes to hang around Elder Miller and will scoot up behind him in her wheelchair and say *gunt......* hahaha it was so funny to Sister Allen and I, but not so much to Elder Miller.. He got kinda freaked out haha

Torsdag:
We visited Målfrid and her husband. They were so cute and took us to lunch at their nursing home!! Målfird definitely wears the pants and Ivar just follows her around on his walker while she goes in front in her electric wheelchair. They are so cute!!
We visited Jecon, we got there and he was in the middle of a what looked like call of duty game, so we had to wait till he was done before we could talk to him because he couldn't stop playing.... boys.... When he was done we talked about agency and how we have the agency to choose what we do, but we can't choose our consequences good or bad. Then I told him I was giving a talk at church on Sunday and that he should come! He said probably not..... Then I asked him if we were friends and he said yes and so I said friends support each other and I need your support!! That got him hahah!!!
We visited cute Elin and Kenneth. She made us yummy boller!! She is the best!! I need to get all of her recipes! We had a great discussion on God's plan for us and how it may not be our plan and we also talked about the atonement of Jesus Christ

Fredag:
We visited a member named Wenche Smith. She is our MMK's wife. She is so cute!! She lives out kinda in the country and it was so beautiful!!

Lørdag:
So Sister Allen and I were on the bus and we get on and there is a teddy bear with a sign on it asking to return it to its address. I was like Sister Allen we should do it!! She goes no!!! What if it has drugs in it or like someone is going to kidnap us!? I go but what if it is a family and we can begin to teach them!! I won, so I took the bear and we looked up the address. We were a little confused when we saw that the address was in the center of the city, but we decided to go anyways! We get to the address and oh my gosh.... It is a bunch of college kids with a stand and there where similar bears like ours stacked on a bench. It was like a campaign for kindness! Sister Allen and I were like oh my gosh..... We didn't want to draw attention to ourselves so we snuck over to the bench took the bear out of my backpack and set it down, we were about to turn around and walk away when one of the people saw us and screamed and all of the college kids about 15 of them ran toward us cheering...... They took a picture with us and everything haha. It was pretty fun.
A cute member named Torunn took us out to lunch at this Thai/Asian place!! It was a buffet and way good!! I ate way too much.....
Sister Allen and I went out to contact and we were about to go our usual route when a certain restaurant came into my head. I thought it was just my mind being weird, but one thing I have learned is that whether you think it is your mind or not, DO IT!!! So last minute I said we need to go this way! Believe it or not we met two awesome people at the spot I saw in my head!! We got both of their numbers and one of them was way positive!! ALWAYS LISTEN AND ACT ON PROMPTINGS!!!! Even if you think they are just you, if it invites to do good, do it!

Søndag:
If you are going to meet with someone or hang out, don't be late!!! At least let them know if you are going to be late! Sister Allen and I were waiting in the cold for 30 minutes for an appointment...... It was not fun!

I got asked to give a talk in church!! Luckily lots of people were out of town in Sweden at the temple, but there was still a good amount of people at church. I was asked to talk about Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy (in Norwegian of course). It was so weird because all week as I was preparing and even before I got up to talk, I wasn't nervous one bit!! As I began to talk, I felt so calm and it was so awesome!!! I think I am finally getting the hang of public speaking haha. It was way awesome to learn more about why we make Sundays different from other days of the week. It is so important that we make sure we make Sunday different, because it is the Lord's Day.

JECON CAME TO CHURCH!!!!! HE CAME!! He missed me talk, but he came!!! It was a miracle!!! Everyone was so nice to him and his mom had the biggest smile on her face! He became good friends with the Elders and now wants to come to Family Home Evening too!! Hallelujah!!!

Sister Allen lost her name tag when we went to visit Wenche and just like when I lost mine she was distraught.... we retraced our steps and couldn't find it anywhere!! We called the office to order her a new one and they are having complications with Norway so we won't be getting new tags till hopefully the spring.... lame! At church as I was sitting up on the stand (we have circle pews and it is way cool) I looked out and saw Sister Allen waving a name tag and she was so excited!! Turns out it had fallen off at Wenche's house. Man was it a happy day for Sister Allen!! When we got home she goes *Well I wrote a RIP journal entry for my name tag for nothing!* hahaha she cracks me up!!
Jordan's Tidbits:
-Our Search for Happiness is the greatest book ever!!! Seriously it isn't that long and I would like to invite everyone to read it!! It will change your life!

-#vennlighetenkommer is the hashtag for the street stand!! I'm not sure if we will be on the instagram or not, but it is worth a shot to look!

- It is always so nice when people compliment Sister Allen and I on our Norwegian! On the street someone asked if we were from Denmark!? Hey I'll take sounding Dansk any day over sounding American!

-We have awesome members....
 Pelle and Betty
Ole
Åndelig Tanker:
- Your world is in your head. Get your head right and your heart will follow, and you will be right!

- To believe that weaknesses and deficiencies in your character are unchangeable is to reject the central truth of the plan of salvation. You are NOT cast into stone. You not only can change, but you DO change ALL THE TIME!

- You are responsible for who you are and who you will become. If you don't like something about yourself, change it! If you want to become better at something, work at it! If you want to strengthen a quality about yourself, do it!! Nothing is impossible!
glad i dere!!! keep warm!!!
ps... Christmas is in 6 weeks!!!!!

14 months!!!

This week was so awesome!! Seriously so many miracles and probably the busiest week I have had my whole mission!! We had appointments like every day and always had something to do!! It was so awesome!

Tirsdag: 14 MONTHSS
I hit my 14 month mark today. Looking back one year ago, I was a greenie and never thought this day would come.... and now that my time keeps getting closer and closer to going home, I'm not sure how much I like it.... I wish time could slow down!
We visited Krystle, my Texas pal!!! I love her! She is so cute and makes me feel like I am at home when we go to her house. Her little boys are the cutest too! She gave us butterscotch chocolate chip cookies and I wanted to cry! I felt like I was at home in America

Sister Jørgensen is the best member missionary I know and the cutest gammel damme! She invited one of her friend’s two daughters to come take a tour of the church and talk to us to get more information about the church and what we believe. The girls were so cute, they are 24 and 26 and they have the potential to becoming interested in having us teach them! So that is way exciting! Their mom really wants them to go to church and has asked Sister Jørgensen to help be their åndelig bestamor (spiritual Grandma) which is way awesome, especially since the mom isn't even a member!

Onsdag:
A member Ole did språk study with us and that was a big help! It is always nice when a Norwegian studies with us and we have someone to ask our questions to and to help correct us!

We visited Elin and Kenneth this week and they made this way yummy Chinese stir-fry.... made me miss Panda Express and Pei Wei haha. Elin is so cute and Kenneth even stayed in the room to listen to our spiritual message so that was way awesome!! We talked about faith and read Alma chapter 32 with them. One of my favs!

We met with a former who we called when we were going through the area book named Peter. He asked if he could bring a friend with him so that was another one of the many miracles this week! They are both from France and had some very good questions. We are meeting with Peter again today!
Meet with Mido and had a member Stian Årsnes on the teach with us. Stian and Mido talked a lot at the Halloween party so we thought it would be a good idea to bring Stian so that Mido can start having friends at church besides the missionaries. IT WENT AWESOME!! Stian was so great and dang having a member on the teach makes the biggest difference!! *****People go on teaches with the missionaries!!!!****
(Stian is great at understanding Mido too; sometimes I swear he is speaking Spanish when he is talking!)

Torsdag:
We had institute and the lesson was amazing!! It was all about Christ and his atonement for us and man the spirit was so strong!! We read many scriptures throughout the Bible and Book of Mormon. I am so grateful for his sacrifice that he made for me personally.

We visited Bestamor and Bestafar! Bestafar gave the nicest and best prayer I have ever heard before we left. It was such a cool experience! Bestamor was cute as always! She loves to talk and talk and sometimes I feel bad saying we have to go because I know she doesn't get many visitors and doesn't get to talk to people a lot.

Fredag:
Went to the nursing home! Sister Allen and I were kinda bummed because none of them wanted to go on a walk and we really wanted to go on a walk and push them in their wheelchairs! Instead we talked a lot and just walked around saying hi to all of the people. Elder Rasband played the piano for them and that was way cool!! So Elder Rasband and Elder Miller are the two greenies in my district right now and they were on greenie splits because both of their companions are the zone leaders and they were out of town for a couple days visiting other areas. So Sister Allen and I went downstairs at the nursing home and the Elders went upstairs. We went up to check on them and Elder Miller walked over to us and goes *I have no idea what they are saying to me and Elder Rasband got lucky and is playing the piano the whole time so he doesn't have to talk to them because he doesn't know what they are saying either!!* Then Elder Miller told us *This one lady kept trying to talk to me, so I acted like I was asleep so she would stop talking to me, I had no idea what she was saying!* hahahaha Sister Allen and I died laughing! Elder Miller is a hoot!
We visited Målfrid a member who is in a nursing home as well and every time we visit, she gives us ice cream...... She is very cute and very with it for how old she is! Her husband will usually just sit in the room and listen while we talk. He tried to take out his hearing aids and she got mad at him haha and she was telling us a story and he told her to stop talking! Hahaha. Sister Allen had to try really hard not to laugh.

MIRACLE!! Okay so remember how Sister Allen stopped that big group of men? Well we got an appointment with one of them!! We took Betty who is a recent convert herself with us and it went so good! He had a lot of questions and is way interested. He doesn't have a church he is going to at the moment, so he is trying to find one. He is from Ghana and said he remembers seeing the missionaries around. He said *How can you not see them! They are dressed in suits!*

While we were talking he said he had researched about our religion before we came, so he could have some knowledge. The questions he asked us that he saw on the internet were ridiculous!!! He read anti (which is untrue things about us on the internet). I am very glad we could clear that up for him!! He told us he thought we worshipped Joseph Smith too.... glad we could clear that up for him as well! NO we do not worship Joseph Smith. Anyways, the teach went awesome!!

While we were walking back to the bus Sister Allen looks at me and goes *I don't know how you answered some of his questions!!!* She said, *I had no idea what to say and you always had an answer and what you said was so good!!* I looked at her and I go *I don't even remember what I said..... and I don't even know how I knew those answers!* She goes *You literally were speaking by the power and gift of the Holy Ghost. I could feel it as you were talking!* At that moment I realized how true that was!! The Holy Ghost was literally filling my mouth with what to say and I wasn't even thinking about what I was saying, I was just saying it!

I remember always wishing that something like this could happen to me and I wouldn't have even realized that this had happened if Sister Allen hadn't said anything to me. It then made me think of how many times this has happened before and I hadn't even realized it! I guess I was expecting some big thing to help me realize that I was being guided by the spirit, but it was just an awesome reminder that the spirit works in quiet ways and how easy it is to have those special experiences overlooked!

Being a missionary and being able to have the Lord work through me is one of the best and awesome things in the world! I am so thankful I have the opportunity to be an instrument in the Lord's hands(:

D&C section 121 verse 11: Seek not to declare my word, but first seek to obtain my word, and then shall your tongue be loosed. Then, if you desire, you shall have my spirit and my word, yea the power of God unto the convincing of men.
Lørdag:
So we finally met with Nina again and she is a gem!! I really feel like she could get baptized here pretty soon! She is way busy and works three jobs and lives about 2 hours away, so we skype to meet with her, but she is reading throughout the week and makes time to meet with us! She was the one that referred herself to the church! How awesome is that! I really hope we can meet with her more.

We went to Hell and visited Lars and Evalina and their adorable baby boy Jackson. Seriously I cannot wait to hold babies when I get home!

We had stake conference this weekend and it was the best thing ever to hear the leaders speaking in bokmål!!! It is music to my ears and I understood basically everything they were saying!! So this one lady got up and you could tell she was a little nervous.... She started speaking and her Norwegian was way good, but you could tell she wasn't a Norwegian (she was American). She was the cutest thing and would like say side comments in English and at the end everyone cracked up laughing because she said *.... og Jeg er veldig takknemlig at denne talen er ferdig, I Jesu Kristi navn, Amen* and she sat down! It was so funny! What she said in English was -  I am very grateful that my talk is over in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Søndag:
Stake conference..... the talks were very good!! It really makes me happy that I can understand basically all that they were saying! Everyone needs to speak bokmål.....

Met with Rafid and had Ole on the teach! I was so grateful Ole was there! Rafid asked some really interesting questions and Ole was able to answer them perfectly which made me really grateful because I'm not sure what I would have said!

Met with Jecon and his girlfriend was over!! So we got to share a message with both of them. That was way cool and unexpected. We talked about the Godhead and how God, Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three different human beings, but one in unity and purpose. God and Christ have a body of flesh and bone and the Holy Ghost is a spirit so that he can always be with us.

TODAY WAS NORWEGIAN FATHERS DAY!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD!!
                                                           YOU ARE THE BEST!!
** our mmk and bishop are way awesome!! They are involved and care about us and how we are doing and how the missionary work is going!! I am really grateful for that!

** Norsk was awesome this week! Somedays you just feel like you really got the hang of Norwegian and this was one of those weeks!! I really felt like my Norwegian was pretty good this week and that the words just flowed out of my mouth! That is a good feeling(: I love this language!!
Jordan's Tidbits:
- we got a lot of member teaches this week, probably the most I have had my whole mission and man do members make a difference!!!!

- Elder Corrigan hates when girls in general wear their hair in a ponytail... The other day Sister Allen and I were both just having a bad hair day so we both had our hair up in a ponytail and it drove Elder Corrigan nuts!! So Sunday at church we both had our hair down and he goes *Sisters!! Your hair looks so nice today!!!*

- The Elders must be crazy... they all keep asking me to cut their hair!! I'm not sure they realize that I really have no idea what I am doing and I just go for it hahaha. However I must be doing a good job if they keep asking me!

-Can I just say, I have found the most comfortable slippers!!
Åndelig Tanker:
- If you haven't seen the movie 17 Miracles I would highly recommend seeing it!!! Especially those of you who are going on Trek in March!! It will change your life!!!

- Luke 12:40 *Be ye therefore ready also: for the son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not!* It is so important that we are always prepared! Do not procrastinate doing the right thing, or changing your life, or repenting, etc... Putting things off only makes them worse!!!

- Luke 15:7 *... (the) joy (that) shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, (will be) more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.* Heavenly Father loves us all the same, even though his joy is greater for those that repent, those who are doing the right things will continue to receive blessings and happiness

***NOT EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE INTERNET IS TRUE!!! If you have questions, ask a person who belongs to the church, ask a missionary or go to these websites!!!
