Christmas was such a wonderful day!! How great it was to actually "SEE" Jordan and get to talk with her! She is absolutely beautiful and is doing so great! Christmas morning was tough not having her with us, but even though she wasn't here with us in person, we kept the tradition going... picture on the stairs before opening presents!!
We got to hear her speak Norwegian and I personally think she sounds great! She wanted me to be sure and say hello to everyone!
Jordan updated us on all the things she has been doing, customs, traditions, and most importantly the "right" way to say things!! It was so funny to realize many things we have been saying are wrong :) She was telling us about how her day is all scheduled out.. by the hour. This is a picture of her planner she was trying to show us.
Of course we all wanted to "hear" her speak Norwegian, and WOW! It was awesome to hear her speak!!
A week before Christmas I received an email from a sweet lady in Stavanger! Søster Gulbrandsen emailed to let me know Jordan would be spending Christmas Eve with her family! Jordan has mentioned this family several times and absolutely loves them. Søster Gulbrandsen sent me pictures of their time over the Christmas holiday. Jordan helped them decorate their Christmas Tree and also make treats. Their family was so generous and gave her some gifts. They had the Søsters and Elders over for Christmas Eve dinner!
I am so grateful for people and families like the Gulbrandsen's who love my daughter! There have been many families in Stavanger who have taken her in and treated her as their own. Words cannot express how grateful I am to these wonderful people!
It was truly wonderful to have that time with Jordan! It was wonderful to hear her bear her testimony to us in Norwegian! Her love for the Savior has grown so much! We miss her but we are so blessed to know she is helping the people in Norway.
We did receive an email from Jordan last Monday. As soon as we are home from vacation, I will update the blog with her latest post! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
